Never apply the electrode
- On the face, eyes, mouth or front of the neck
- From one side of the head to the other (or through the head)
Potential hazards
- Simultaneous connection of a patient to a high frequency surgical device may cause burns at the electrode contact points and the electro-stimulation device may be damaged.
- Operation in close proximity (e.g. 1m) to shortwave or microwave therapy equipment may cause instabilities in the output power of the electro-stimulation device.
Modification of the device is not allowed
- No changes may be made to the appliance without the manufacturer's permission.
- If the appliance is modified, a proper check and test must be carried out to ensure that it is still safe to use.
